Lisa Hearn represents clients in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate finance matters, including capital markets and loan financing, and issues related to U.S. securities law. Lisa has consistently worked on some of the most sophisticated, complex, and high-profile corporate and finance matters at Akin Gump. Through this work, she has deep experience in areas critical to the firm’s international corporate practice.
Lisa’s practice has included representations in the energy and telecommunications sectors, including for clients in North America, the CIS, Africa, and Asia. She has extensive cross-border experience gained from her years spent resident in the firm’s London office.
Lisa is a member of Women’s Energy Network and the Houston Bar Association’s Corporate Counsel Section. She is recognized as a Rising Star in Banking, Capital Markets: Debt and M&A by IFLR 1000 US and was honored as one of the Houston Top 50 Women in Law by the Texas Diversity Council in 2017.
Lisa received her J.D., with honors, from the University of Texas at Austin and her B.A. from Duke University. She resides in Houston, Texas with her husband and two children.
