Kristine is responsible for the Argus Consulting business which covers all energy commodities from crude, gas, products, petrochemicals to fertilizers and metals. The Argus consulting team focuses on energy market analysis and technical due diligence typically supporting investment decisions. Kristine has more than 25 years of experience in consulting and is an expert on global fuels and refining. She serves as a member of the National Petroleum Council (NPC) as appointed by the US secretary of Energy.
Prior to joining Argus, she was in charge of Hart Energy’s research and consulting division, where she built their global presence, established the International Fuel Quality Center, and was publisher of FUEL Magazine. Before that she worked in the UK on the business management of oxygenated fuels for LyondellBasell, which acquired Arco Chemical in 1998, as well as a process engineer for Japanese Gasoline in Japan.
A native of Oslo, Norway, Kristine earned her master’s degree in chemical engineering at the University of Twente, Netherlands. As part of her theses, she developed a catalyst for methane coupling at the Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan that was sold to the industry and patented.
