A 2nd generation Native Austinite, Christine Escobar serves as the VP, General Manager & Director of Sales for Univision Austin Local Media. In her current role, Christine manages operations including ad sales, marketing, news, production and promotions of Univision Austin TV and radio stations: Univision 62, UniMás 31, 104.3 La Que Buena, 107.7 Mas Variedad. Since joining Univision in 2003, Christine has seen tremendous growth and significant change in the Austin Hispanic Market as Univision continues to serve it’s loyal audience through education, empowerment and information sharing. Christine takes great pleasure and shows true passion in working for the leading media company serving Hispanic America.
Christine brings more than 16 years of demonstrated success in the media industry; the last 14 years with UCI. She has served in several sales capacities within the Austin organization – from Local Account Executive to National Sales Manager, General Sales Manger and most recently Director of Sales. Prior to working at Univision Communications, Christine worked at the iHeart Radio cluster in Austin, focusing on sales.
As the oldest of five siblings, Christine holds family and faith as key core values that have helped mold her into the passionate and loyal individual she is. Her affinity for all things Longhorn (HOOK’EM!) is demonstrated as she spends her Fall weekends tailgating alongside her husband, Eric, and two sons, Christian (5) and Austin (3).
