Tish Tamez is a Director in the Global Client Group within American Express Global Business Travel (GBT), responsible for leading a worldwide client management team supporting the GCG business unit’s largest corporate customers. American Express GBT has one of the largest and most comprehensive travel networks, which powers global commerce through absolute dependability, world-class service, and deep insights.
Tish has also held numerous roles in the company for over 20 years across the client management and service operations, successfully leading globally dispersed and virtual teams.
Previously, Tish has held positions as Head of UK Accounts in corporate travel management, in professional services as global consulting leadership and executive management in the hotel industry. She has lived and worked in the UK, Asia and Latin America.
As a recognized leader, Tish has presented leadership and management strategies in a variety of venues such as the European Business Travel Association annual meeting in Hungary, the Telkomsel organization in Indonesia, corporate leadership training within American Express GBT, for mentorship programs and various non-profit organizations.
Tish holds a Masters of Business Administration, with a focus on International Business, from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelors Degree in Business Management.
With a philosophy of serving others, Tish serves as a mentor for at risk teens with the Aransas County Independent School District, volunteers with the Coastal Bend Drug & Alcohol Rehab Center, travels in support of global outreach missions with her church and sponsors the development of diverse talent within American Express GBT.
Tish now lives in Rockport, Texas with her husband and family.
