Leah Curry is responsible for all Production and Plant Engineering as Vice President of Manufacturing.

Before her assignment as vice president in January 2014, Ms. Curry was General Manager of Assembly and Conveyance.

Ms. Curry joined TMMI in 1997 as part of a team preparing for the start of production of the all-new Tundra full-size pickup truck. She has held many positions with increased responsibilities throughout her career in production, maintenance and engineering.

Before joining Toyota, Ms. Curry worked for 17 years in pharmaceutical and nutritional manufacturing.

She studied industrial electronics at Ivy Tech Community College, chemistry at the University of Evansville, and completed the TPC Training Systems three-year apprenticeship in electronics. She has also completed numerous technical classes for programmable logic controllers, robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and welding.

In November 2015, Ms. Curry was recognized by Automotive News as one of the Top 100 Women in the Automotive Industry. In February 2013, Ms. Curry was selected by the Manufacturing Institute as one of 122 women recognized with the Manufacturing STEP (Science, Technology, Engineering and Production) award for their excellence and leadership in manufacturing.

She helps lead the Business Partnering Group Spectrum as part of TMMI’s diversity initiatives and has championed teacher and student internship programs in skilled industrial maintenance at TMMI.

Her community involvement includes service on the board of directors for Indiana Automotive Council and Diversity Lecture Series; the advisory board for Project Lead the Way; and former champion of Dream It, Do It, an initiative in Southwestern Indiana to raise awareness of careers in manufacturing and logistics.

Ms. Curry resides in her hometown of Haubstadt, IN., with her husband Dave and family.
