As Regional Senior Vice President of Houston Methodist, Dr. Debra F. Sukin has responsibility for three suburban hospitals in addition to her role as Chief Executive Officer. Houston Methodist San Jacinto Hospital and Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital are both market leaders in the communities they serve. Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital will open in 2017, providing comprehensive acute care services in addition to outpatient programs for cancer care, breast care, therapy and sports medicine, as well as individual and corporate wellness programs.
Dr. Sukin earned a PhD in Health Policy and Health Management from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. She received her Master of Healthcare Administration degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri.
A Houston native, Dr. Sukin is an active community advocate and speaker. She is Vice Chair of The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership Board of Directors and Vice Chair of the Interfaith of The Woodlands Board of Directors. Dr. Sukin also serves as a board member of the Woodforest National Bank as well as Lone Star College Foundation. She is a member of the Texas Hospital Association Council on Policy Development and the Greater Houston Chapter of the Young President’s Organization.
Dr. Sukin resides in The Woodlands with her husband, Steve Sukin, MD, and their two sons.
