Liza (pronounced Lisa) Acevedo currently holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology with a minor in Business and a Master’s degree in Industrial Management from Texas A&M University-Kingsville, Texas. She is the Vice President of Human Resources for Manifolds System Incorporated (MSI) a division of Dixie Iron Works. MSI is a manufacturing company in the Oil & Gas Industry. MSI is made up of 341 employees throughout six warehouses; two in Alice, one in Midland, two in Louisiana, and one in Canada. Liza remains in constant contact with the employees by traveling to each location on different occasions. Her primary workspace and office can be found in Alice at the Main location. In addition, she is a member of the local chapter of Coastal Bend Society of Human Resources Management and the national chapter of SHRM. Her continued involvement and association with Human Resources Management has totaled a little over 19 years.
Liza was born and raised in Alice, Texas; she also resides there with her husband, Alfredo Acevedo, Jr. She and Alfredo recently celebrated their ten year wedding anniversary. She is the mother to two older boys, Marcus and David. When she isn’t spending time with her boys she can be found practicing her new found hobby, Golf. After picking up a club for fun, she found she has a natural talent for it and hasn’t put it down. The next project for Liza is to enroll in a Ph.D. program and improve upon her tamale making skills.
