Lenora Keas serves as the Interim Provost and Vice President of Instruction and Student Services as the chief academic officer for Del Mar College. She leads all instructional divisions to ensure high quality programs, compliance with accreditation, and delivery of student services including admissions, enrollment, engagement and retention.

She also continues the full-time role of Vice President of Workforce Development and Strategic Initiatives. As a member of the President’s Executive Team, she provides leadership and coordination of corporate and workforce programs, strategic planning, and institutional research and effectiveness. Ms. Keas leads the College team responsible for interfacing with existing and potential businesses and industries to provide instruction to fill their skilled workforce needs.

She has more than 30 years experience in higher education, administration, professional management, health care administration and business and industrial development. Prior to moving to the administrative ranks, she served as Tenured Professor of Business and Chair of the Department of Business Administration for a decade. She also served as Co-acting Dean of the Division of Business for two years.

Outside the academic arena, Ms. Keas has seven years experience providing contract services for the petroleum and chemical industry and 18 years as a management consultant to business and industry. She also serves on the executive and finance committees for a regional hospital. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Houston-Victoria and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
