Mr. Fernando Conejo or “Fuzzy” as most of his friends and colleagues call him is a retired US Air Force Lieutenant Colonel with 32 years of enlisted and officer experience in Human Resources, Education, and Training. He has a B.A. in Political Science from Bellevue College, Nebraska and a M.A. in Management and Supervision from Central Michigan University.

After retiring from the Air Force in 2003, Fuzzy started working in the Office of the Registrar at the University of Texas at San Antonio as the Veterans Benefits Assistant and later as the Assistant Director for Certification Services, responsible for veteran enrollment certifications as well as residency, NCAA, and graduation programs.

In October 2006, Fuzzy transferred to the Texas Veterans Commission (TVC) as an Education Program Specialist covering the San Antonio region visiting over 100 training institutions annually to determine compliance with TVC and Veterans Administration certification requirements, laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Recently, he assumed the duties of Veterans Education Coordinator where he will assist schools and training institutions in implementing programs designed to assist veterans to successfully complete their education and training programs.
