Mary is a Veteran of the Air Force and served as a Fuel Systems Specialist, she currently is the Assistant Manager of Human Resources at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Texas, Inc. (TMMTX), located on the south side of San Antonio, Texas. Mary areas of responsibilities in HRD are the team leader/group leader promotions and development programs, role base training, maintenance fundamental skills training, and multi-skill maintenance hiring.

Mary’s Primary role is providing Toyota team members with a positive learning environment that supports a diverse culture that respects people. The most recent project is the “Advance Manufacturing Technician Program” a two year working scholarship that launched the fall of 2013. “Alamo Academies” summer internship program that partners with Alamo Colleges in the collaboration to expose our youth to the different possibilities that an education and hands on manufacturing experience can bring.

Prior to Toyota she was an Adjunct Instructor at Palo Alto community college teaching Industrial Automation Technology to workforce employees for 2 ½ years. In addition, Mary spent 14 years at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and the Air Force Research Lab developing biomedical prototypes to assist researchers in their grants and research.

Since 2006 she has been an active member of several educational advisory committees at the high school and community college level; in addition Mary holds a leadership position at the national level with Automotive Manufacturers Technology Education Collaborative (AMTEC). Currently sits on four local advisory educational committees; one national committee and a Southwest High School Career Technology Educational Advisory Board.
