Lives in San Antonio, Texas and received his undergraduate degree in Education from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas where he was also a member of the two National Football Championship teams. He also has earned two Master of Science degrees in Management and Education from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas.

He taught and coached at the high school level for 12 years where he won several state titles and was named Vice Principal of the Year by the National Association of Secondary School Principals. Other achievements earned were National Education Awards for community outreach programs that he started on his campus.

He spent 9 years as an Education Service Specialist for the US Navy and US Army. As the US Navy ESS he received many honors which including US Navy Recruiting Command Civilian of the Year 1998 – 2004, in 2000 he was the first civilian in the command to be awarded the Navy Marine Achievement Medal and in 2000 -2002 he received the Admirals Award for developing a program to assist failing recruiting commands. As the US Army Education Specialist he received Civilian of the Year for the United States Army in 2005 sponsored by the Secretary of the Army.

Currently he is in the Senior Recruiting Manager for the San Antonio Service Unit. He is responsible recruiting efforts with the community, military and colleges. He also develops marketing assessments to assist and reach diverse populations, and help find quality applicants for difficult to fill positions.

He also assists with Diversity and EEO Training for the field employees and managers. His efforts in employee engagement have been recognized locally, state wide and nationally for improving employee engagement in the workplace which has reduced injuries and increased productivity in the field.

Recently he was one of eleven employees selected to ring the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange. Currently he is the President of the Latino Employee Network Chapter in San Antonio, Texas.. He is also the 2014 Stelos Alliance Award Winner.
