After a stint in the automotive industry, Kirya Francis began her career in the media & advertising industries. In 2000, Austin-based ad agency, GSD&M, created a media technology position for Kirya where she elevated it to VP of Solutions. After several years of leading various diversity & inclusion projects, she formally moved into the role of VP of Diversity & Inclusion to create an environment where authenticity and creativity can thrive for fellow GSD&Mers to bring their “whole ”selves to work. In the community, Kirya will begin her tenure as President of the Austin Ad Federation in July. She also has three degrees from the University of Texas at Austin including a Master of Science in Technology Commercialization from the McCombs School of Business.
