Stephanie Madrid is the Division Vice President for Kindred Hospitals of Houston and is the Integrated Market Leader supporting collaboration and strategic partnership between Kindred’s divisional service lines including LTACH, IRF, Home Health, Hospice, and Physician House Calls. Stephanie was raised in New Mexico, where she received both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Communication Disorders from Eastern New Mexico University. She began her career as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Kindred Hospital – Houston Medical Center and has taken on progressive leadership roles within the organization over the span of her 15-year career with Kindred. Stephanie has worked in two of Kindred Healthcare’s divisions. In the Kindred Rehabilitation Services division, she held leadership roles such as Area Rehabilitation Director and Senior Director of Operations, managing acute and outpatient rehabilitation departments in owned and managed hospitals. In 2013 Stephanie was named a Kindred Rising Star and transitioned to Kindred’s Hospital Division where she became Chief Executive Officer of Kindred Hospital – Dallas Central. Stephanie was promoted to Market CEO the following year for three of Kindred’s hospitals in Dallas. Stephanie returned to Houston in 2015 as the District Chief Operating Officer for Kindred Hospitals of Houston and was named Division Vice President in 2017. In addition to a clinical master’s degree, Stephanie completed a Master of Business Administration degree from Baylor University in 2017. Stephanie is the Board Chair for the American Lung Association in Houston, is a Thought Leader with the Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce, and is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
