Nicole Arleane Roberson, Ph.D. is the Director of Diversity and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) for the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART). Dr. Roberson also teaches graduate courses part-time for Amberton University.

Believe it or not she is one of the few people who was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Roberson graduated high school with honors from the Business and Management Center High School. She obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of North Texas, where she graduated Cum Laude. Go Eagles!!! She has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird). Dr. Roberson obtained her Doctor of Philosophy in Organizational Leadership from Regent University. She is also a Certified Human Resources Professional (SHRM-CP) through the Society for Human Resources Management, Distinguished Mediator through the Texas Mediation Credentialing Association (TMCA), Certified DDI Facilitator through the Development Dimensions International, and a Senior Certified Affirmative Action Professional (Sr. CAAP) through the American Association for Access, Equity and Diversity (AAAED). Dr. Roberson is graduating with her second Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management from Keller Graduate School on this Friday.

Dr. Roberson’s work experience spans between two fields that she loves: diversity and education. She worked 10 years for the U. S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights (OCR). In that role, she investigated complaints of discrimination within the United States education system. While in her position at OCR, she started teaching undergraduate business courses for Cedar Valley Community College, Paul Quinn College, Navarro College and the University of North Texas – Dallas Campus. To work more closely in higher education, Dr. Roberson accepted a position with the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) as the Coordinator of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action. In this role, she was responsible for compliance training of all UTA employees, internal and external investigations of discrimination and the affirmative action plan. While there, she also taught for the Department of Business for UTA. After three years in that role and completing my Ph.D., Dr. Roberson accepted an Executive Dean position with North Lake College where she was in charge of the Business and Information Technology Department. After almost four years in that position, Dr. Roberson accepted a position at the University of North Texas (UNT) as the Assistant Director of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action. Her position with UNT prepared for her current position with DART, Director of Diversity and EEO.

Dr. Roberson is very active with the Texas Diversity Council where she is the President and Women in Leadership where she is also the President. She is also the Treasurer for District 57 for Toastmasters International. She is also very active with North Texas LEAD and NAAAHR where she is an active member.

On a personal note, Dr. Roberson has an 18-year son who recently graduated from high school. He has joined the Army Reserves and will start college in the Fall and major in History. They have a Chihuahua named Spirit.
