Modules

  • Module 1: Engaging White Males as True Champions for Diversity
Everyone must have a seat at the table for D&I to succeed in the workplace. Although white men hold nearly 70% of business leadership roles and are in the best place to drive inclusion efforts, they are often targeted by or left out of the diversity conversation. This session covers why white males are needed in D&I efforts, obstacles to their involvement, and best practices in engaging white males in the D&I space.
  • Module 2: Creating & Managing a Diverse Team
Diversity and inclusion must be tied to business functions to be effective. This module covers what it takes to work with a culturally diverse workforce, how cultural differences impact the performance of core business functions, and strategies for maximizing your diverse team’s potential. Come and learn how to better understand, influence, and motivate a diverse team to achieve business results.
  • Module 3: Developing and Implementing the Strategy: Understanding Where You and Your Team Stand
Before implementing any strategy, it is important to see exactly where your organization lies in terms of Diversity and Inclusion. In this session, we’ll reveal tested Diversity and Inclusion benchmarks/standards that help organizations measure progress in managing diversity and fostering inclusion. We will also discuss how these standards lay the groundwork of what will become a constantly evolving journey that raises the bar and improves the quality of Diversity and Inclusion work. Participants will also have an opportunity for self and organizational assessment. This self –examination will help them determine where they and their organization stand at this juncture. We will also review strategy development for Diversity and Inclusion throughout an organization with a range of dedicated resources.
  • Module 4: Metrics: Counting What Works
The question of what to measure in D&I has been a challenge for the function. In this module, we will review current practice, discuss what it is we are really trying to accomplish, and identify some tools to help us get there.
  • Module 5: Change Agents Role
Leaders and employees at every level help bring about targeted and effective organizational change. In this module, we will discuss the role that change agents play throughout the organization, the importance senior leadership buy-in and support and how to get leaders on board. Additionally, we will focus on employee engagement through creating and implementing Employee Resource Groups (ERG). Each of these are keys to successful organizational change that results in improving employee morale, sparking creativity and innovation, and increasing long term organizational performance.
