On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina is a chain of Tex-Mex food casual dining restaurants located in the United States, Puerto Rico and South Korea. The chain and brand name is owned by OTB Acquisition LLC. Founded by three friends, On The Border opened its first doors in October 1982 in Dallas, TX. On The Border quickly became the hot spot for great margaritas, fresh Border-style food and seriously good times in Dallas and the surrounding areas. With business booming, the three friends decided it was time to share On The Border with more people. A lot more people, in more places. On The Border now operates over 160 restaurants within the United States, two locations in Puerto Rico and nine locations in South Korea.
