Hettie Richardson is Professor of Management and Chair of the Department of Management and Leadership at Texas Christian University’s Neeley School of Business. She has provided managerial training across many organizations and industries on issues of leadership, motivation, and reward and compensation design. In addition, Hettie has offered consulting services related to employee involvement, engagement and well-being, leadership, and performance management to clients such as Home Depot, the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals, Life Office Management Association, Athens Regional Medical Center, and the Middleton Library at Louisiana State University.

As Chair of Neeley’s Department of Management and Leadership, she teaches courses in leadership and cross-cultural management. In the past she has taught in the areas of human resource management and organizational behavior (e.g., teamwork, conflict management, power and politics, negotiation and communication). Her current research concerns employee empowerment initiatives, knowledge-sharing and collaboration in organizations, the alignment and pursuit of organization and employee goals, and strategic human resource management. She also has expertise in organizational survey and other research techniques. Her research has been published in journals such as Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, and Organizational Research Methods. She has served as Chair of the Research Methods Division of the Academy of Management and is currently Program Chair and Vice President Elect of the Southern Management Association.

Hettie earned her Ph.D. in Business from the University of Georgia.
