Buena Vista Lyons, is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She is a partner in the Dallas office of FordHarrison LLP. She has focused her law practice on primarily defending corporations in employment litigation matters for nearly 20 years. The corporations she represents span a broad range of industries, including the healthcare, airline, logistics, cosmetics, hospitality and financial services industries. In addition to her national litigation practice, Vista also regularly provides advice and training to managers on state and federal employment compliance issues and regulations, workplace investigations, anti-harassment/discrimination policies and complaint procedures, and effective management techniques to minimize the risk of disputes and litigation.

Vista is also actively involved in her community and local bar associations. She currently serves on the board of directors of two local non-profit organizations, the Beacon Hill Preparatory Institute and the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, both of which have a focus on serving Dallas County youth in need. Vista also served as a Director of the Dallas Bar Association in 2004 and 2005, and as President of the J.L. Turner Legal Association in 2005.

She continuously demonstrates her commitment to diversity and inclusion and strives to make a difference through her personal and professional achievements. Due to these efforts, Vista was honored with the “Most Powerful & Influential Women of Texas Award” by the Texas Diversity Council in 2012 and “Company and Executive Women Worth Watching,” by the Diversity Journal in 2014. She is married and is the proud mother of two boys. She is also a member of the United Methodist Church of the Disciples in DeSoto, Texas, where she serves on the church’s communion stewards and stewardship boards. Vista received her B.A. from Cornell University and her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law.
