Deirdre is a true advocate for personal and professional development of others while advocating for equality both in and out of the workplace. With a strong sense of passion and service for organizations making an impact in diverse communities, her leadership has been leveraged to drive various initiatives across the metroplex.

Over her career, Deirdre has been actively involved with organizations that align to her values, including Resource Center, Develop University, Genesis Women’s Shelter, Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, Junior Achievement, The Bridge Homeless Shelter, and AT&T’s Aspire mentoring program.

And as the first African American out employee to lead AT&T’s LGBTQA employee resource group, Deirdre embodies many aspects of AT&T’s commitment to a diverse and inclusive culture and its four focus areas: workforce, communities, customers and suppliers. In her elected role as president, Deirdre’s strategic 2018 initiatives and projects include engagement, professional development and community engagement for all members across the metroplex. She also serves on LEAGUE’s national board as the Union liaison director, connecting to the thousands of bargained-for employees across AT&T’s domestic operations.

Deirdre holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Dallas Baptist University and a Masters of Science degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Capella University. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology with an emphasis in Organizational Performance. She is also completing a graduate certificate in Human Resources Management.
