Ryan Leach is an attorney, writer, and community leader. Ryan is a board member for Equality Texas and has served in other leadership roles in the LGBTQ community with organizations like the Victory Fund and the GLBT Political Caucus. He has been a contributing writer to OutSmart Magazine and other publications where his writing has focused on HIV prevention and treatment as well as reporting on politics and local issues.
Ryan also serves on the board for the Houston Library Foundation and Writer’s in the Schools. He is a former teacher and public school attorney and considers public education to be the number one priority for the state of Texas. Ryan is also a native Houstonian and is the Executive Director of the Downtown Redevelopment Authority where he helps create economic development programs that redevelop and improve downtown.
Ryan is an adjunct professor at the University of Houston where he teaches Public School Law.
