Dr. Carter is an Assistant Professor in the Business Department at Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) and the owner and founder of Da’non Enterprises, a Leadership & Diversity company specializing in improving cultural communication and customer service while increasing employee engagement, through executive leadership development and employee training.

Throughout her professional career, Dr. Carter has acquired more than 20 years of managerial and executive experience in Operations and Human Resources leading teams and overseeing employee development as well as specializing in diversity and inclusion and culture change for such companies as Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, Sears Credit, HSBC Auto Finance, and Center for Business Solutions. Her work has taken her around the world to include Spain, Italy, Australia, Philippians, India, Indonesia, Canada, and Mexico, which contributed to Dr. Carter’s love of diversity and people in general.

Dr. Carter’s commitment to employee engagement is exhibited by partnering with organizations through leadership and diversity training and assisting in the creation and sustainment of coaching programs that enable increased employee satisfaction and performance, a customer centric focus, and overall organizational performance.

Dr. Carter holds a Bachelor’s and Masters in Management and a Doctoral of Management in Organizational Leadership. Danon Carter is a featured blog writer for Plaid for Women on diversity and featured monthly on Plaid Radio as a featured Diversity Expert. She is also an author and was featured in the University of Phoenix Alumni Magazine Winter 2014. Dr. Carter currently resides in Dallas, Texas and has one son. She enjoys travel and her community service commitments.
